Investments
The Lincoln Trail Venture Group invests primarily in companies that show promise for growth in terms of revenue, profit, and job growth in the Lincoln Trail Region. This region consists of the following counties:
- Hardin
- Meade
- Breckinridge
- Larue
- Nelson
- Hart
- Bullit
- Taylor
- Grayson
The maximum investment, either debt or equity, by the group will not exceed $50,000.
We have a nine member Investment Committee, elected by the membership. This committee reviews prospects, assures due diligence, and directs final decision for each investment on behalf of the members.
Future capital requirements, above the invested amount committed by the group, will first be offered to individual members on a pro rata basis for their personal investment.
Individual members may invest in any company without limitation.
The maximum number of Units of Membership per investor is five (5). The group has no employees.
Each unit shall be $10,000 of which $1,000 will be paid by each Member as the initital subscription. The remainder of $9,000 is callable, from time to time, in $1,000 increments by the Investment Committee for selected ventures.
The Investment Committee will make every effort to include the provision in each venture to allow the Members individually without limitation the right of first refusal for additional investment in that venture.
Members may freely sell, transfer, assign or otherwise dispose of their Unit(s). A fee of $100 per transaction will be charged.
